Zone Diet Reviews

Zone Diet Reviews

During our Zone Diet Reviews, we found that the Zone diet was created by Barry Sears, a biochemist.
Sears believes that elevated levels of insulin and other hormones are the main cause behind the obesity epidemic that has hit America. His theory is that you can “stay in the zone” meaning not to low or high by eating the right type of foods at each meal.
These portions are 40 percent carbs, 30 percent protein and 30 percent fat.
The Zone diet allows for 1,500 calories for men and
1,200 for women daily. It is important to note that
this is about 65-70% the amount generally
recommended for healthy people.

The meal plan consists of 3 meals and 2 snacks daily.
The challenge you will face with this plan is that you have to
strictly measure the percentages yourself with each meal.

According to Sears you should divide your plate in three sections,
and for example the low-fat protein section should be able to fit into
the palm of your hand. Which for most men is 4 ounces and
3 ounces for women.

Our Zone Diet reviews also studied the strict eating schedule, such as breakfast within one hour of waking up, and then your snacks and meals every five hours. Which means this is a lifestyle change as well as a diet.
“The Zone” book launched this diet and should be read first. You can then get different books that include the top foods, recipes and how to master the zone.
Unlike some of the diet plans this does not come with pre-packaged meals.
So you will have to work harder to follow along with the premise of this dietand ensure you make your meals according to the 40-30-30 formula, otherwise you will not see the results that were intended.
There is no money back guarantee associated with this, as you are notbuying food on a monthly basis from the Zone. Although they do have their own brand of shakes and protein bars that you can purchase.
In addition they heavily promote Omega-3 Fish oil as being extremely helpful.
This is not uncommon as you will find numerous nutritional sites andprograms touting the importance of Omega-3. You will be able to stay within recommended nutritional guidelines using this plan, although you will be slightly below the level recommended for daily carb intake.
This plan is best used for individuals who have the time and patience to make their meals. You can also check out The Zone forum before purchasing the book(s) to get a feel for what people are saying about this diet plan.
